For years Blockbuster has been looking to redefine itself, after taking a brutal beating from its competitors such as Netflix, iTunes, and Redbox. Now it looks like Blockbuster may finally have some hope, as they look to launch their Blockbuster OnDemand service on Windows and Android smartphones. Blockbuster is looking to capitalize on an opportunity that companies such as Amazon should have claimed years ago (who has an MP3 store presence on every Android phone and whose video site allows mobile transfers to Windows Mobile smartphones, but for some reason Amazon does not actively promote). The Blockbuster OnDemand mobile service is set to debut with the upcoming launch of the HTC HD2 and will hit other devices later this year.
